It's our family's favourite Chinese restaurant in Kanata.

Ordered lunch for our office nearby, found a piece of metal in the chicken. Went back to tell them, didn’t even ask for a refund but I was shocked at their response. The didn’t even apologise or seem to care they just smiled and offered to make me another plate of chicken.

Great food, place is a little rundown and could use new decor, but food is delicious and authentic. Most servers are pleasant. Pan fried dumplings and Shanghai noodles are both incredible. Reasonable prices, and generous portions. My large family (6 people) was fed for around 100$ with plenty of food leftover to bring home. Definitely worth checking out for new-comers.

Decent quality food. It is a good place for lunch or take out. Just keep your expectations low. The prices are not bad. The women who run the place are funny and have their unique way of doing things. Overall, not too bad. Recommended dishes: Cantonese style chow mein and deep fried tofu.

A great Neighbourhood authentic Chinese Cantonese restaurant. The dishes quality are very consistent and from shilled chefs. Two main waitresses are very experienced and skilled taking care all services often just by one person alone. The order is always accurate. The missing star is for the restaurant setting.

The restaurant is clean and hygienic that giving customers a comfortable environment. However, there is a slight gap between the dishes and the authentic Cantonese cuisine. Additionally, there's a waiter's attitude wasn't very good. Overall feel good, affordable.

Great selection for dine-in. Take out is mediocre at best, expect to wait longer for your food than told. Hot and sour soup is very metallic.

This is one of the go to Chinese restaurants in Kanata! It doesn’t seem they use lots of MSG. You may find the flavour a bit blend compared other Chinese restaurants, but believe me their foods are great!! Servers were very friendly as well :)

We have been ordering from Rideau Restaurant for years! We absolutely love the food here. We do not waste our time at any other Chinese Restaurant. When we moved from Kanata we will still drive 30-40 minutes to grab some Rideau Restaurant! We have tried many Chinese restaurants in other cities whenever we travel and have not been able to find anyone who has Chinese food as good at this restaurant! Great portion sizes and delicious food!

The service was really great. We were lucky meet a wonderful lady that she reminded and introduced us about the meals before our order. I would like to give five stars for service and the price. I would give three stars for the meals. The fried rice was too wet and the beef fried noodle was not enough flavour. The chicken balls were really not recommended... 🤢the pork ribs were not bad. 👍🏻

One of the best Chinese food experiences I had. The chow mein was done perfectly. A lot of the competition makes the noodles swim in cornstarch making it soggy. This place does it right. Hopefully they will reopen soon.

We ordered at 5 PM and told to come at 6:30 PM for pick up, reasonable given they are busy. What's not reasonable is that we are still waiting at the restaurant for the food we ordered, it is now 8 PM. That by any measure is ABSURD and RIDICULOUS won't bother going back. Would give no stars if possible.

Very enjoyable meal. The General Tao's chicken was crispy and well spiced. I would recommend it and will return.

Food was excellent. We ate in and the servings were plentiful. Food was fresh and delicious. Highly recommended.

Great authentic Chinese cuisine. Good contender for best in the West end. Full disclosure: I we ordered off the Chinese menu. Not sure if the English menu has the same stuff

Really good place. Came here with some friends and we all enjoyed it.Definitely a great place, with great food, and a great atmosphere.

Friendly staff, love the schezwan beef, restaurant decor and interior could use an update though. You also get a lot of bang for your buck with the big portions they give you at reasonable prices.

My family and I went to dine in. The service was not the best. My daughter was paying for dinner and the waitress demanded more for the tip.

The food gets 5 stars! Best Chinese restaurant I've been to in terms of taste. Our favorites are General Tao chicken and salt and pepper fish. But the premises gets 1 star only. They really need to renovate their restaurant ASAP! If you have picky ones in your family, I'd suggest maybe going for take out.

I've been coming here since I was little. The servers are always friendly to us. The food is good and quick. Takeout is very popular here.
